Iskra's Opinion Page

I love the World Wide Web. Even half-assed authors like myself can get "published", even if it's on a web page nobody will ever see. If you are viewing this page, send me an email and let me know what you think and how the hell you found it. If you are a publisher, buy my words and make me famous - like Hemmingway. Failing that, make my infamous - like Hemmingway. Or failing that, treat me like the essays in your slush pile - read what follows, weep for the loss of the Art of the Word, then send me a check because you need a three page filler between advertisements. I won't mind.

Do not send me a harassing e-mail due to my stance on any issue listed here. Issues where I actually have the power to change are issues that people pay me for, and are not listed here. You want my opinion on high throughput performance databases or on cost estimation of software projects then you call me and we work out a contract ($$$).

These essays here are my free issues. Isn't it sad that or litagation-savy culture forces me to preface what is, in fact, an opinion and editorial page?

All the words written in the essays (AKA, rants) and paragraphs that follow are copyright 2000 by Matthew Iskra.
